“I had 4D build a cabana X in my backyard if I could give them 10 stars I would. From my first mtg with Glen I felt like I could trust him and his company. Great communication craftsmanship, and the project is stunning. Brian and his crew were amazing even digging out my decorative grasses with roots intact for planting. I love my cabana and if your thinking of enhancing your yard this is your company.”

From Vision to Reality
Site Visit & Consultation
We'll meet with you at your home to walk the space, discuss what you're looking to accomplish, take measurements, and talk through your ideas, priorities, and overall vision.
Initial Estimate & Concept
Following the site visit, we'll prepare an estimate along with a simple concept drawing. This gives you a clear starting point for the proposed layout, scope of work, and anticipated investment.
Detailed Design Retainer
If you'd like to explore the project further, we offer a more in-depth design process with a design retainer — including detailed drawings, multiple layout options, project-specific details, and refined pricing. If you move forward with 4D Custom Builders, your design retainer is credited toward your project invoice.
Collaborative Design & Refinement
Once the design retainer is in place, we'll work with you to develop the space around exactly what you're looking for — refining layouts, features, materials, and details until we have a design you're comfortable moving forward with.
Contract & Project Scheduling
Once the final scope and design are approved, we'll prepare your contract. After the contract is completed, your project is added to our construction schedule and we'll provide a projected start date.

Frequently Asked Questions
StruXure pergolas feature motorized, adjustable louvers that rotate open or closed at the touch of a button. This allows you to control sunlight, shade, airflow, and rain protection instantly. When open, the louvers invite in light and fresh air; when closed, they form a watertight roof system that channels rain through internal gutters and down the posts—keeping the space below dry and usable.
StruXure systems are highly customizable to fit both your lifestyle and your home architecture. Options include motorized or manual louver operation, integrated LED lighting with dimmable color-temperature options, radiant heaters for cooler weather, retractable screens for wind and insects, smart controls via remote, app, or home automation, multiple color and finish options, and custom sizing and post placement. Every pergola is designed specifically for your space.
Yes. When the louvers are fully closed, StruXure pergolas are engineered to be rain-tight. Water is directed into an integrated gutter system and safely dispersed through the posts. They are also designed to handle snow loads when properly engineered for your region, making them an excellent solution for Western New York.
StruXure pergolas are built from aircraft-grade aluminum, which provides exceptional resistance to rust, corrosion, and weather-related wear. The motorized louver system is designed for reliable, long-term performance through heat, cold, rain, and snow. These structures are engineered to meet or exceed local building codes for wind and snow loads.
StruXure pergolas are constructed from aluminum and are available in a variety of powder-coated color finishes. Options typically include classic neutrals, modern dark tones, and custom color matching. The aluminum construction means no painting, staining, or sealing is ever required—just occasional cleaning to maintain appearance.
Yes. StruXure offers a manufacturer warranty covering the structural components and motorized louver system. Warranty terms are product- and component-specific, and we walk you through the full details during the consultation and design process. As an authorized dealer and installer, we also provide our own workmanship warranty on all installations.
Due to the custom nature of the product, there is no one-size-fits-all pricing approach. Pricing varies based on size, features, and site conditions. Factors that affect cost include overall size and configuration, motorized vs. manual operation, lighting, heaters, screens, and smart controls, as well as installation complexity and site preparation. We provide clear, detailed estimates so you understand exactly what is included and why.
Installation typically includes site evaluation and design coordination, proper structural anchoring and foundation work, electrical integration for motors, lighting, and heaters, professional assembly and calibration of the system, and a final walkthrough and operation guidance. Our goal is a seamless, turn-key experience from design through completion.
Yes. StruXure pergolas can be installed over existing patios, decks, roofs, and outdoor living spaces, and they can be freestanding or attached depending on your layout and structure. During the design phase, we assess your existing surfaces to ensure they can properly support the system.
Maintenance is minimal. Occasional cleaning with mild soap and water is typically all that is needed. We recommend keeping gutters clear of debris, rinsing off pollen or dust seasonally, and checking moving components annually. Because the structure is aluminum, there is no staining, sealing, or repainting required.
StruXure pergolas are designed for long-term durability and everyday use. The aluminum construction and high-quality motorized components resist weather damage far better than traditional wood pergolas. With proper installation and basic maintenance, these systems maintain both their performance and appearance for many years—making them a smart, long-term investment in outdoor living.
